Trekkers
A co-production with ZenHQ Films South Africa, Trekkers is a fly-on-the-wall style film about life, death and apathy. The people involved are men and women who are all HIV positive, or have AIDS, and all out for revenge. Trekkers looks at a new phenomenon rearing its head: purposefully and wilfully infecting others with aids.
It tells the story of Sabatha, a depply wounded man who has Aids and is purposefully and willfully spending his days infecting woman with the disease. The documentary focuses on him and the decisions he hasmade in his life. Sabatha used to be part of a group of young men who did this as a hobby, but he is the only survivor, his friends have all died of aids or killed themselves beacuse of it.
